Welcome to the 2026 Forum for Arctic and Antarctic Research!
This day-and-a-half-conference is held at Wallenberg Conference Centre, University of Gothenburg. The aim of the forum is to shape the agendas for Arctic and Antarctic marine and terrestrial research in Sweden, through dialogue among academia, state agencies, and stakeholders.
Programme
30 November 12:00 - 1 December 16:00
30 November: Registration begins at 11:30 on 30 November, followed by lunch. The program features updates on major national polar research initiatives, SCAA (Swedish Centre for Arctic and Antarctic), SFOs and the national polar research school SEAL. The first day concludes with a poster pub and conference dinner.
1 December: During the second day, the programme features contributions from funding agencies and the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat, parallel interdisciplinary sessions and scientific presentations. There will also be opportunities for participants to propose and organise thematic sessions.
The 2026 Forum for Arctic and Antarctic Research ends at 16:00.
