For decades, Dansk Skoleskak (Danish Scholastic Chess Federation) has worked to integrate game-based learning into the Danish educational landscape. As an organization dedicated to enhancing cognitive and social development through structured play, we are now branching out to Sweden as a math-oriented supplement to existing chess-based activities such as Schackfyran etc.
This presentation introduces SKAK+MAT® – a research-based program designed to bridge the gap between the intrinsic motivation of games and the formal requirements of the mathematics curriculum.
