Abstract

This talk introduces a Swedish PhD project exploring how willow phytoremediation, combined with foam fractionation, can address PFAS contamination at firefighting training sites. It will outline the integrated lab, pilot, and field work that tests how willow plants influence PFAS mobility and uptake while using FF-treated irrigation to enhance long-chain PFAS removal, with an eye toward a scalable, policy-relevant remediation strategy for Sweden.
