Docent i internationell rätt med intresse för frågor kring internationell rätt, geopolitik och konflilkt. Hela min karriär har jag kombinerat akademi och praktik med fokus på internationell rätt i konflikt situationer. Hösten 2025, återvände jag till Juridiska institutionen efter fyra år vid EU:s utrikesförvaltning där jag arbetar med frågor om klimat och säkerhet samt Sahel. Mina tidigare engagemang inkluderar chef för Afghanistan Analysts Network, handläggare vid EU:s utrikesförvaltning i Bryssel, programansvarig vid International Centre for Transitional Justice, forskare på Amnesty International, rådgivare vid Office of the EU Special Representative for Afghanistan. Jag har undervisat eller forskat vid bland annat Université Libre de Bruxelles, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Kent University, Birkbeck University, NATO Defence College, Australian National University och Åbo Akademi.
Jag doktorerade i internationell rätt från Göteborgs universitet 2004. Min forskining och mina publikationer har fokuserat på internationell rätt, särskilt mänskliga rättigheter, humanitärrätt och internationell straffrätt, genus och rätt, samt Afghanistan och EU:s krishantering.
