Om Lisa Åkervall
Lisa Åkervall is a Senior Lecturer in Culture, Aesthetics and Media with a specialism in Aesthetic Theory at the University of Gothenburg. From 2015-2017 she was an Assistant Professor of Film Studies with a Specialism in Digital Theory and Practice at Trinity College Dublin. In Fall 2016, she was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Film and Media Studies Program at Yale University. From 2014-2015 she was a postdoctoral research fellow in the "Media and Mimesis" research center at Bauhaus-University Weimar. Her current research balances an attention to questions of cinematic affect and film experience with a strong concern for emerging questions in digital media ecology, digital sound studies, postcinematic aesthetics, affect theory, and the cultural techniques of neoliberalism.
