Om Artemisa Ntourou
Doctoral Candidate in Private Law at the University of Gothenburg, specializing in maritime law.
My research project focuses on bills of lading and digitalisation – a field where legal tradition meets technological transformation, raising new questions about evidence, ownership and commercial trust. I am particularly interested in how digital change in the shipping industry challenges long-standing legal frameworks and opens the door to new solutions in international trade.
Before joining the department in Gothenburg, I worked for the Law Society of England and Wales, where I gained insight into both the practical and policy-oriented dimensions of legal work in an international setting. I earned my LLM degree at Queen Mary University of London, where my interest in transport law and digitalisation first began to take shape.
In addition to my research, I am engaged in teaching both at the Department of Law and the Department of Business Administration.
