This information concerns applications to the Master's Program in Opera. The next time you can apply for the program is December 2026 – January 2027. Studies start in the autumn of 2027.
As a student of our master’s program in opera, you will deepen your artistic abilities and knowledge.
Through individual coaching, mentorship, and working with coaches from the Göteborg Opera, you will take the next steps in your opera career. Several courses within the programme are collaborative with other programs in music. And, as part of your training, you will take part in a full scale opera production at the Academy of Music and Drama or in an opera house.

Opera students
We accept new students for the bachelor's program in opera two years out of three. Therefore, there are only two classes enrolled in the program at any time. The next new class will begin in the autumn of 2027. The master's program is open for applications every two years, which means that there is one class at a time.
