Malmsten Workshop in Sustainability Economics

Published

We are pleased to announce the upcoming Malmsten Workshop in Sustainability Economics, jointly organized by the Department of Economics at the University of Gothenburg and ETH Zurich, generously funded by The Richard C. Malmsten Memorial Foundation.

The Keynote speaker for this workshop is Geoffrey Heal (Columbia Business School), one of the most influential scholars in climate and environmental economics worldwide. Over five decades of research, his work has shaped our understanding of resource allocation with increasing returns to scale, growth theory, and the economics of exhaustible and renewable resources. It is a privilege to have him share his insights at this workshop.

The conference is organized by Professor Thomas Sterner (Department of Economics, University of Gothenburg) and Associate Professor Moritz Drupp (ETZ Zurich), and will bring together leading researchers working at the frontier of sustainability, climate, and environmental economics.

We look forward to inspiring discussions and new collaborations around the economic foundations of a sustainable future.
