About David Karlsson

Background Obtained his Doctorate in Public Administration in 2003 and has been active since then as lecturer and researcher at the School of Public Administration. Senior Lecturer in 2007, Associate Professor (Docent) 2012, Professor 2019.

Editor for The School of Public Administration Research Report Serie sand the SPA Working Paper Series.

David Karlsson is Deputy Head of department at School of Public Administration, responsible for research and the PhD programme.

Research Local government studies: local and regional democracy, politics, institutions and multilevel governance. In particular, focus is directed at the attitudes and practice of political representatives. Also public opinion on alcohol policy.

Teaching Politics and administration, especially the Swedish political system, multi-level governance. Quantitative method. Supervision of master's theses.
