At the Department of Earth Sciences, we study the composition of the Earth and the processes that operate within and on the Earth, in the oceans, and in the atmosphere. We investigate the interactions between nature, humans, and climate change, as well as how the consequences of humanity’s impact on the Earth can be managed. Through our research and education in Earth Sciences and Geography, we develop knowledge and innovations that are important for a sustainable society.
