Building on Somali II, the reading ability is further developed and the vocabulary expanded to some 1500 words. The grammatical focus of the course is on syntax and word formation
About
The course is a continuation of SO1203, Somali II. During the course the
reading ability in Somali is further developed and the active
vocabulary is expanded with some 500 words and phrases. Word formation is studied in order to facilitate the understanding of unknown words.
Special attention is also paid to frequent constructions and everyday
phrases. The grammatical focus of the course is on Somali syntax.
The course has scheduled online classes.
Prerequisites and selection
Requirements
5 credits from SO1203 or the equivalent. Exceptions from the requirement of knowledge of Swedish may be made when the language of instruction is English.
Selection
Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 165 credits.
