Summary

This course builds on Somali III and focuses on developing your reading, writing and translation skills.

About

During this course your reading skills in Somali are expanded through the study of everyday original texts provided with comments, glossaries and sound recordings. Your active vocabulary is expanded to about 2000 words, and important syntactic constructions and common phrases are practiced through writing and translation. The theoretical focus is on phraseology, word formation, synonymy and the semantics of the grammatical categories.

The course has scheduled online classes.
During Spring term 2024, the course is taught on Thursdays 17.00-17.45 almost every week.
