Research and academic collaboration
We collaborate with universities, researchers and teachers around the world through research projects, academic networks, joint publications, conferences and other forms of knowledge exchange.
These partnerships contribute to the development of research and education and bring new perspectives to social work. Explore our research and current projects to find relevant expertise and potential research partners.
Student exchange
Students from our partner universities can apply for exchange studies at the University of Gothenburg. Exchange students can choose from courses offered to incoming students at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
The department has Erasmus agreements with universities in Europe as well as agreements with universities outside Europe.
Responsible internationalisation
The department works to develop long-term international collaboration while reducing the environmental impact of travel.
Our approach includes:
- developing long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships
- using digital meetings, seminars and lectures when appropriate
- including international perspectives in education and research
- supporting projects related to social justice, human rights and sustainable development
