About

Master’s Thesis in Spanish

The course is intended for students who already have at least 15 credits at the advanced level in Spanish and possess a minimum C1 proficiency according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

During the course, you will learn to independently formulate, define, and analyze a topic within the Spanish-speaking cultural sphere, receiving supervision in writing and defending a scholarly thesis (approximately 40 pages). Teaching takes place mainly through seminars and individual supervision conducted entirely in Spanish, where theoretical and methodological questions are directly linked to your thesis work.

Upon completion, you are expected to critically integrate knowledge, handle complex linguistic, literary, or didactic issues, and express yourself in advanced academic Spanish, both orally and in writing. You will also demonstrate the ability to review and discuss previous research, justify and problematize your choice of method and sources, and show awareness of the scientific, social, and ethical dimensions of your research project.
