Public health practice: intervention, implementation and evaluation
About
The purpose of the course is to allow the students to gain knowledge of the assignments and conditions at work places relevant to public health work, and to give the opportunity to link theoretical knowledge to professional practice at a company or public authority.This internship course is intended for students that would like to have a 20 week planned experience in a public health work setting that allows for deeper skill development in diverse areas of public health.
Prerequisites and selection
Requirements
To be eligible for the course, the students must have acquired the following: 15 hec in MPH211 Public health science: foundations and applications, 7,5 hec in MPH212 Health equality and the right to health, 7,5 hec in MPH213 Qualitative methods in public health science, and 15 credits in MPH221 Epidemiology and biostatistics, or equivalent, as well as taken course MPH222 Health economics: foundations, areas of application and methodology or MPH223 Social epidemiology: theories, methods and practical implications.

Selection
Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 225 credits.
For admission to the summer 2021 and onward the following selection applies: selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 165 credits.
