About Angelica Wiljén
Angelica is a pediatric nurse and a doctoral student in healthcare science. She is a collaborative student between Södra Älvsborgs hospital in Borås and the University of Gothenburg. She works at the pediatric ward in Borås, primarily with children with cancer.
She is a part of the research project PicPecc – Pictorial support in person-centered care for children. The purpose of her research is to develop and evaluate innovative solutions for person-centered communication in pediatric care. As part of her doctoral thesis, a digital picture- and text-based reporting- and communication tool has been developed (PicPecc). The tool is a way for the children to communicate about their symptoms and feelings from their own perspective.
