The Center for the Sea and Society makes a number of different communication efforts in order to increase knowledge about the sea and make visible the research that takes place at the University of Gothenburg. The Center for Sea and Society also administers the university's common entrance to all sea-related activities – Ocean.

The project Ocean Blues wants to turn eco-anxiety into eco-action by linking non-academic young adults to the scientific community. The long-term goal is a sustainable use of the ocean.
