About us

The University of Gothenburg, Chalmers, the University of Borås, the Defense Medicine Center, as well as several regional hospitals are represented among the members of the centre. This creates multidisciplinarity and enables the formation of the center to prepare questions that touch several research areas at the same time.

The center's goal is to carry out research, development and education in the subject area of disaster medicine at the University of Gothenburg. We are a knowledge center on behalf of the National Board of Health and Welfare in research and development work around disaster medicine with a focus on total defence. The current operating period extends until the summer of 2029.
