About Susanne Lindegart

I am a marine scientist and senior project manager at the University of Gothenburg, with a background in marine aquaculture and particular expertise in mussels and oysters. A common thread throughout my work is translating knowledge about the ocean into practical benefits through collaboration between research, industry, public authorities and coastal communities.

My current work focuses on regenerative aquaculture, the blue bioeconomy, marine food, ecosystem restoration and the sustainable development of coastal communities. I lead and coordinate several interdisciplinary projects, including KORALL, KORI, SUSWEED, Blue Community Gardens (Tillsammansodlingar) and Testarena Skagerrak.

I particularly enjoy working at the interface between research and implementation – where scientific knowledge can be transformed into practical solutions, test environments, new initiatives and sustainable ways of using marine resources.
