Digital conditions for a sustainable return to work
Short description
Digital technology is an integral part of everyday life, working life, and rehabilitation. In this work package, we examine how digitalization influences return to work following sick leave due to mental health or musculoskeletal disorders. We explore how individuals on sick leave use digital tools—such as social media, health applications, and digital work platforms—for health, recovery, and social interaction. We also investigate how stakeholders, including primary care providers, employers, and social insurance agencies, interpret and respond to these digital practices. The aim is to deepen our understanding of how digital solutions can support a sustainable, equitable, and individualized return to work without creating additional demands, stress, or blurred boundaries between work and private life. The project's a part of UGot ReWork.
