Our research

The research at the Department of Psychology is concerned with fundamental principles and processes that help in understanding and predicting human behaviour. We have a strong interdisciplinary tradition and cooperate with researchers in other subjects such as economics, law, medicine, political science and technology.

The problem-based areas in our research relate among other things to treatment initiatives in mental ill-health among children and adults, effects of disability on the psychological functioning of children and adults, the credibility of witness statements, decisions and actions with an impact on the environment, the working environment and well-being. Through our research we disseminate knowledge both to a broad group of stakeholders in the scientific community and to public-sector and private-sector organisations.
