About Amelie Lindgren
Amelie Lindgren is a researcher in ecosystem science and Station Director of the Skogaryd Research Catchment at the University of Gothenburg. Her research focuses on the carbon cycle and greenhouse gas fluxes in terrestrial ecosystems, with particular emphasis on rewetted peatlands.
She combines field measurements, data analysis, and modeling to understand how land use and climate influence carbon balances, with a strong focus on climate and environmental solutions. Her work operates at the interface between science and policy and contributes to the development of sustainable strategies, for example in wetland restoration.
She is a BECC PI, currently serving as Grand Challenge leader for 4C together with colleagues from Lund, and sits on the steering committe for BECC and MERGE at the University of Gothenburg.
