Master’s level
7.5 credits (ECTS)
Offered by the
Department of Physics
at the
Faculty of Science and Technology
About
The course provides basic knowledge of biological methods in computer science, such as genetic algorithms, genetic programming, and artificial life. These methods are both relevant to technical applications, for example in optimization and design of autonomous systems, and for understanding biological systems, e.g. through simulation of evolutionry processes.
Prerequisites and selection
Entry requirements
Bachelor degree including at least 30 credeits mathematics, plus programming
Selection
Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 165 credits.
