The course provides a concise introduction to Oromo and its writing system, pronunciation, and grammar.

You will learn a vocabulary of about 500 words through reading elementary texts and practicing basic phrases and structures. The course also offers a brief overview of the historical development, geographical distribution, and regional variation within the Oromo language.

Selection is based upon average grade from upper secondary school (34 %), the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 165 credits (33 %) and Högskoleprovet - Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test (33 %).
