About
The course highlights the Somali language from sociolinguistic, historical, lexicological, and language policy perspectives. Among other things, it addresses language relatedness, domains of Somali usage, the dialect situation and the standardization process, language planning, as well as important reference works and corpora.

Selection is based upon average grade from upper secondary school (34 %), the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 165 credits (33 %) and Högskoleprovet - Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test (33 %).
