Summary
This course is open for international (English speaking) students, and corresponds to BIO331 (Verksamhetsförlagt projekt i biologi).
About
The course will give you an opportunity to get job experience within the field of biology, either at the university or an external organization or company. During the course, you will perform independent experimental or theoretical work under supervision, and you need to find a suitable workplace and project yourself
In order for you to be registered on the course, the project must be approved by the examiner. At the end of the course, you will present your work in a written report in English.
Prerequisites and selection
Requirements
University studies of a minimum of 75 credits in Biology and Molecular Biology/Cellbiology with at least one in depth course of 15 credits in a relevant area. Applicants must prove their knowledge of English: English 6/English B from Swedish Upper Secondary School or the equivalent level of an internationally recognized test, for example TOEFL, IELTS.
Selection
Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 165 credits.
Facilities
Teaching takes place where the project is carried out. The student may need both a supervisor who helps with the practical implementation on site and a supervisor at the department who can provide comments on the scientific part of the work and the report writing.
