Second Global Conference on Person-Centred Care Bridging Practice, Organisation and Governance

4-7 May 2026, 470 delegates from all continents except Antarctica gathered for GCPCC 2026. The theme was Bridging Practice, Organization and Governance in Relation to Person-Centred Care and the conference ran in parallel with Vitalis at The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre, Gothenburg, Sweden. Five pre-conference workshops were also held.

470 delegates from 28 countries - representing all continents except Antarctica - came together to share insights through oral and poster presentations based on more than 300 submitted abstracts.

Posters increased from 149 posters in 2024 to 206.

Keynote speakers

Niamh Lennox-Chhugani, PhD, Chief Executive and Director of Research at the International Foundation for Integrated Care (IFIC).

  • Chris Graham, CEO of Picker, a leading international charity that exists to promote and improve person centred care. Faculty member at the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) and a non-executive director at the Professional Records Standards Body (PRSB). Part of the NIHR Quality, Safety, and Outcomes of Health and Social Care Policy Research Unit.
  • Juan Bornman, Professor, B(Logopeadia); M(Communication Pathology), PhD Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Professor in Augmentative and Alternative Communication at Stellenbosch University, South Africa.
