The Composing Musician
Culture and languages
What happens when improvisation becomes a way of composing? In this concert, students on the Master’s program ‘Improvisation – The Composing Musician’ present new music created at the intersection of spontaneity, composition and artistic curiosity. Drawing inspiration from literature, visual arts, film, dance and other art forms, they explore personal musical narratives in works for small ensembles. Each piece is the result of a creative process in which improvisation serves as both a method and a form of expression – a concert filled with new sounds, unexpected encounters and music in constant motion.
