The Centre for Ethics, Law and Mental Health (CELAM) is an interdisciplinary research centre dedicated to initiating and supporting research on mental disorders, aggressive antisocial behaviour, and questions of moral and legal responsibility within an integrated, interdisciplinary framework.

CELAM brings together professionals and researchers from the social sciences, medicine, and the humanities. We collaborate with national and regional agencies responsible for offenders with mental disorder within the criminal justice system, with the aim of contributing to the development, implementation, and dissemination of current research. We also provide education and supervision for doctoral, development, and specialist projects, and support the career development of affiliated researchers at all academic levels.
