About Ann-Ida Scheiber Gyllenspetz
I am a PhD student at the School of Public Administration since the fall of 2025. In my dissertation, I examine how political conflict influences bureaucratic autonomy. I am particularly interested in how political institutions shape political conflict, the relationship between politicians and bureaucrats, and in bureaucracy from the perspectives of democracy and efficiency. In my research, I combine quantitative and qualitative methods.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in public administration, both from the University of Gothenburg.
