About Anna Liljedal
I am an artist and work as an adjunct lecturer in Fine Art on the BFA Programme at HDK-Valand. I primarily teach practice-based courses in the third year of the programme, but I also contribute to other practice courses and elective courses.
My artistic practice includes text and image-making in installations, printed matter, and artistic interventions, based on visual and poetic explorations of human strategies for understanding and coping with a contradictory and unpredictable existence.
In recent years, my artistic practice has been centered around collaborative projects and encounters with audiences in places other than traditional art spaces—outdoors, in museums, libraries, pizzerias, on stage, and in novel form. In the balance between art, context, and audience, I am interested in sites and situations of permeability, where texts, objects, and images function and are perceived as art both in interaction with and despite their surroundings.
I am also involved with Galleri BOX in Gothenburg as chair of the board, and through BOX I run a podcast, BOX pod, featuring artist talks in podcast format.
