About Andreas Ottemo

Andreas Ottemo is Associate Professor at the Department of Education and Special Education, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. His research takes feminist, critical and identity perspectives on the relation between gender, technology, and sexuality in STEM education. He has published on geek masculinities, feminist and class-based critiques of engineering curricula, performances of gender in makerspaces and disciplinary culture and gender in physics and computer science and engineering education. He is currently engaged in a project funded by the Swedish Research Council (grant number 2021-04448), investigating how the gender/STEM relation has been theorized in educational research.
