About Vonintsoa Rafaly
Vonintsoa Rafaly defended her thesis in January 2020 at the University of Nantes (France). Her research explores the ongoing change in law of the sea, both on the legal and the institutional aspect. Her fields of interest are related to the consideration of common interest in the evolution of the law of the sea and ocean governance and its impact on states cooperation in the protection and conservation of the marine environment and resources. This would be experimented through the concept of ‘socialization’ in the law of the sea, analysing the interplay between states and non-states actors and different regimes (global, regional and sub-regional levels).
