School program on biodiversity
Biodiversity is fundamental for our existence and well-being, and we can all contribute to strengthening and protecting it. By learning more about nature and exploring it together with their pupils, teachers can create relationships with nature and commitment to a sustainable future.
Biodiversity describes the great variety of life on Earth. It is about both the diversity of species and ecosystems, but also genetic variation within species.
The SamBio school program offered free lessons on biodiversity for school classes in Västra Götaland during 2024–2025. A nauture challenge was also arranged in collaboration with Naturuppdraget, and inspirational materials for teachers and teacher training events on biodiversity were developed during the project.
