Kort beskrivning

This Ph.D. dissertation researches how entrepreneurs in the emerging sports technology (SportsTech) sector navigate their regional entrepreneurial ecosystem (EE), using a mixed methods approach. The dissertation includes quantitatively assessing the network of stakeholders that comprise EEs, followed by qualitatively exploring the experience of entrepreneurs and their interaction with all different stakeholders in these ecosystems. Emerging industries are particulary interesting to study because of the rapid developments in the networks that facilitate entrepreneurship. The aim of the study is therefore to better understand the needs of entrepreneurs in emerging industries, and how policymakers can better adapt to the needs of entrepreneurs in emerging industries based on the strength of their regional EE.
