Instrumentation

There are currently seven spectrometers at the Swedish NMR Centre in Gothenburg. All are made up of superconducting magnets cooled using liquid helium and have advanced detectors for a wide range of applications.

Oxford 900 pumped magnet, Bruker Avance III HD spectrometer

  • 4 channels
  • 5 mm TCI cryoprobe
  • 2 mM sucrose S/N=1460

Mostly used for structural biology applications

Oxford 800 pumped magnet, Bruker Avance III HD spectrometer

  • 4 channels
  • SampleJet with temperature control
  • 3 mm TCI cryoprobe
  • 2 mM sucrose S/N 750

Mostly used for structural biology, metabolomics and fragment-based screening applications

Oxford 800 magnet, Bruker Avance III HD spectrometer

  • 4 channels
  • SampleJet
  • 5 mm TXO cryoprobe
  • ASTM 13C S/N 3300

Mostly used for structural biology, small molecule-NMR and material science applications

Bruker 700 pumped magnet, Bruker Avance III spectrometer

  • 4 channels 1H/19F/13C/15N
  • 5 mm QCI cryoprobe
  • SampleJet

Mostly used for structural biology, small molecule-NMR and fragment-based screening applications

 

Varian INOVA NMR-spectrometer

  • 3 channels
  • 3.2 mm MAS Solids probe
  • 5mm 1H{13C,15N} pfg probe S/N=839 (EB)
  • 5mm 15N-31P broadband probe S/N=44(15N)
  • 10mm broadband probe S/N=1605

Mostly used for material science applications

 

Bruker Avance NEO spectrometer

  • 4 channel cryoprobe
  • SampleJet with individual rack temperature control

Used for small-molecule NMR, structural biology and metabolomics applications

Bruker 600 Avance III NMR spectrometer

  • Certified for IVDr operation
  • 3 channels
  • 5 mm RT BBI probe (IVDr)
  • 5 mm diffusion probe with 1H, 2H and 19F coils and a maximum gradient of 12 T/m
  • 5mm 1H{13C,15N} pfg probe
  • SampleJet with individual rack temperature control

Mostly used for metabolomics, material science and microimaging applications

Bruker 400 MHz DNP

  • 3.2 mm RT Solid-State MAS probe 1 H X Y with variety of X/Y combinations
  • 3.2 mm DNP MAS probe 1 H X Y with variety of X/Y combinations (15 kHz MAS at 100 K)
