Methods Workshop on Economic Evaluation in Healthcare & Public Health – May 6–7, 2026

Published

The Centre for Health Governance is pleased to announce the upcoming Methods Workshop on Economic Evaluation in Healthcare and Public Health, to be held May 6–7, 2026 in Gothenburg. The “lunch-to-lunch” format is designed to bring together researchers and analysts with a shared interest in advancing the methodological foundations of economic evaluation in healthcare and public health.
The workshop aims to provide a forum for discussing new and emerging methodological challenges, critically assessing existing approaches, and exploring how cost-effectiveness evidence is used in real-world decision-making across healthcare and public health sectors.

Call for Presentations

We invite submissions of research presentations that:

  • introduce new methodological approaches in economic evaluation,
  • assess or compare existing methods, or
  • showcase how cost-effectiveness evidence informs policy and practice in healthcare or public health.

Each presentation will be allocated 40 minutes, including both presentation and discussion time. Presenters are encouraged—but not required—to circulate draft papers in advance to enrich the dialogue.

Keynote speakers

We are delighted to welcome two distinguished keynote speakers:

James Lomas, Senior Lecturer, University of York
Douglas Lundin, Chief Economist, Swedish Drug Reimbursement Agency (TLV)
