- During the two years it took to pursue my MSc, I became particularly interested in the area of entrepreneurship and I wrote my MSc thesis about entrepreneurship from a gender perspective in China, says Madeleine.

During her studies, she also went abroad three times: one semester at HEC Montreal during the bachelor, one semester at Maastricht University during the master, and finally Hangzhou in China for the master thesis.

Already during her studies, she got a job at HH&P Executive Search, which she continued after her Master’s degree. During her years in the private sector, she has primarily worked as a project manager and recruited people to management teams in small and medium-sized entrepreneurial companies. Her next step was to apply for the PhD education at the Unit for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and will for 4 years conduct research within Knowledge-intensive Entrepreneurship.

- As I have been studying innovation and entrepreneurship and for the past five years or so, as well as been working with organisational development in entrepreneurial businesses, I am now eager to deepening my knowledge and contribute to entrepreneurship at a different level, says Madeleine.
