Tradition and Transformation

Culture and languages

Two lunchtime concerts where tradition meets the present day. What does a musical heritage sound like when interpreted in our time? What happens when the roots of music are allowed to reach out towards new soundscapes, bodies and forms of expression? In these concerts, ensembles comprising students from the program Contemporary Traditions in Music at the Academy of Music and Drama present their work from the spring term. Here, different musical languages, instruments and stories come together – moving between then and now, between place and person.
