About Sofia Henriks
I am a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of Gothenburg, where I started in the fall of 2024.
My broad research interest lies in political behavior, where my research is at the intersection of political psychology and political economy. In my dissertation, I study how people respond politically when exposed to extreme weather events resulting from climate change. I am especially interested in how exposure to both climate risks and the perceived costs of climate policy shapes individuals’ political attitudes and behavior.
I hold a double bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science and Political Science, as well as a master’s degree in Political Science, all from Lund University.
I also teach in the course Miljövetenskaplig baskurs – samhällsvetenskaplig inriktning.
