Niklas Olofsson

About Niklas Olofsson

Niklas is a specialist nurse in oncological care and a PhD student at the university of Gothenburg, at the institution for health and caring sciences. Niklas' time is split between doctoral studies and clinical work as a specialist nurse at an inpatient cancer ward at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital.

His doctoral project aims at improving the care of patients with non-small cell lung cancer who are receiving consolidating immunotherapy. The experiences of patients are investigated both qualitatively and quantitatively, focusing on existential factors of cancer and oncological treatment.

Niklas is a member of the research group SAROC (Sahlgrenska Academy Research in Oncological Care).
