About Caroline Reinhammar
My research focuses on how understandings of climate change and industrial initiatives to mitigate its effects are formed in everyday life. In my dissertation project, I analyze how common sense as a mode of everyday reasoning is negotiated and renegotiated within discourses surrounding the climate crisis.
I'm affiliated with the national interdisciplinary research school The Future of Democracy: Cultural Analyses of Illiberal Populism in Times of Crisis (FUDEM).
Theoretically and methodologically, my work is grounded in posthumanism, critical folkloristics, narrative theory, and ethnographic methods, including digital ethnography, interviews, and participant observation.
Upcoming publication: " Common Sense and Climate Mitigation: Articulations of Objection to Wind Power Establishment". Accepted. Kulturella Perspektiv
