About the event

A heatwave is a prolonged period of abnormally high temperatures and often high humidity. They threaten health and ecosystems.

A cold wave (known in some regions as a cold snap, cold spell or Artic snap) is a weather phenomenon that is distinguished by a cooling of the air. Global warming and atmospheric disturbances will also intensify cold waves in the Northern hemisphere.

Heat and cold waves are expected to become more frequent and severe in the future. How can we plan cities for the future climate?
