Centre for Ageing and Health

The interdisciplinary research centre AgeCap was funded and active from 2014 to 2023. Its research was based on the concept of capability – people’s ability and opportunities to achieve goals and do the things they value. The centre grew to include researchers from five faculties and 17 departments and has resulted in more than 1,000 scientific articles and 41 doctoral theses. AgeCap has also worked actively to disseminate research findings to the general public and policymakers.
