Trained as a geochemist, Yanan Yang's research focuses on the development of advanced NanoSIMS methodologies and high-resolution isotopic and elemental imaging approaches for interdisciplinary applications. With over 15 years of experience in dynamic SIMS and more than 7 years of experience in NanoSIMS, he applies these approaches to address fundamental questions across Earth and planetary sciences, environmental science, materials science, and life sciences. He collaborates with interdisciplinary research teams to enable high-impact scientific discoveries through advanced mass spectrometry imaging approaches. As Lab Manager of the NanoSIMS Sweden Facility, Yanan is responsible for the scientific operation and development of the facility, including analytical method development, user support, and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations.
