Collaboration

Collaboration is at the heart of DEMSAM. For research and development to make a meaningful difference, it needs to be shaped together with the people it concerns and tested in the settings where care and support are provided.

DEMSAM therefore works closely with people living with dementia and their families, professionals, decision-makers and organisations across health and social care, dental care and other parts of society.

People living with dementia and their families are actively involved in the centre’s work, helping to ensure that research and new approaches address needs and questions that matter in everyday life. Through Living Labs, partnerships with municipalities, regional organisations and dental care, as well as national and international collaborations, we bring together research, lived experience and professional expertise to develop, test and share new knowledge and ways of working.
