To provide a common forum for colleagues at Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg with an interest in mathematical physics, we are launching a new seminar series in the field. The aim is to present topics and results of broad interest—both classical and recent—and to foster discussion and collaboration within our community.

8 May, 11:00 – Gabriele Ferretti (Department of Physics): The Higgs Boson and Some of Its Mathematical Aspects
9 June, 13:15 – Bernt Wennberg (Mathematical Sciences): Hilbert’s 6th Problem and the Validation of the Boltzmann Equation (Joint w/ the Analysis and Probability Seminar.)

All talks will be in the lecture room Pascal in the MV-building.
