Kanchana N Ruwanpura inaugurated as professor at the University of Gothenburg

Kanchana N Ruwanpura is professor in Human Geography at the School of Business, Economics and Law, at the University of Gothenburg. Previously she was a reader at the Institute of Geography, University of Edinburgh. Her focus areas for both research and teaching are uneven development, environmental debates, research ethics and feminist politics.

During last Friday's inauguration of new professors, she was inaugurated as a professor at the University of Gothenburg, during a festive ceremony.

I loved this event! To me, it was a celebration of the spirit of Swedish solidarity, where all new professors over three years (2019-2021) are inaugurated in one amazing and chilled social gathering. A cherished moment to be part of at the University of Gothenburg.
