What are you studying?

I am studying Economics at the undergraduate level! Beyond that, I am also studying industrial engineering and management at Chalmers University of Technology and recently finished my B.Sc.

How are you planning on using your scholarship?

I am currently doing an internship at the Permanent Mission of Sweden to the UN and other international organizations in Geneva, Switzerland. The scholarship will help me fund the additional expenses that come with travelling to, and living in, Geneva.

How does it feel to be awarded the scholarship?

It is a great honor for me to have been selected for the Prins Bertil Scholarship. To me, it is an indicator that other people see what I do as meaningful and that motivates me a lot.

What would you like to work with in the future?

Both engineering and economics are subjects that open a lot of doors to future possibilities and I do not want to be too quick on closing any of those doors. However, the internship in Geneva has definitely stirred my interest in multilateral work and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs seems like a challenging and developing place that would be interesting to work at.

What are you studying?

I'm pursuing a Master's degree in Marketing and Consumption at the

School of Business, Economics and Law in Gothenburg. The programme focuses on contemporary practices in Marketing, Branding and Consumption while addressing sustainability challenges from a global point of view. I'm currently in my third semester and on exchange at Keio University in Tokyo, Japan.

How are you planning on using your scholarship?

The scholarship is intended to help with the research expenses of a Master's thesis project. In the planned study, my thesis partner Scarlett and I aim to generate insights regarding sustainable fashion consumption in Japan. In practice, we are planning to collect survey data from different locations in the country, analyzing consumer behaviour. As Sweden can be considered to be at the global forefront of sustainable development in this industry, our research could be useful to Swedish brands on how to expand to the Japanese market.

How does it feel to be awarded the scholarship?

It is of great surprise and pleasure to be awarded the scholarship, which is making our thesis proposal possible! To actually work on this very project in Japan just became a reality! Hence, I'm very lucky to be granted this opportunity and I'm looking forward to beginning the endeavour.

What would you like to work with in the future?

I'd enjoy working in an innovative environment that sees the importance of a sustainable future and has a global outlook. Having experienced life in different countries, I found my personal interest in understanding international differences in values and culture of people. Also enjoying working creatively and analytically, I can imagine myself developing international brand strategies for a firm with a vision that I can share.

I am currently studying the Second Year of the Masters's degree in

International Business and Trade at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.

How are you planning on using your scholarship?

The Scholarship will be used to manage expenses pertaining to conducting a field study in key logistical hubs of the EU, to gather data and insights (together with Emilia Ishak) for the Master's thesis that studies the effects of Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) typologies on gaining Strategic Renewal through Innovation in Multinational Corporations (MNCs).

How does it feel to be awarded the scholarship?

I am truly honoured to be chosen as a recipient of this prestigious Scholarship Award which encourages young researchers to pursue bold and exciting research topics. This Scholarship will support our studies on the growth and internationalization of European Supply Chain leaders while drawing critical learnings and impactful contributions to West Sweden's Logistics and Supply Chain industry domain under our thesis topic.

What would you like to work with in the future?

I am passionate about driving change and transforming Commercial functions and processes to counter market dynamics and volatility. Thus my future work will preferably align with Commercial Operations and Revenue Management in an international setting.

How are you planning on using your scholarship?

This scholarship is a valuable contribution to my internship at the

Swedish Embassy in Tokyo. As the third largest economy in the world, Japan plays an important role in the international market. Hence, good relations between Sweden and Japan, made possible by the Embassy, create great opportunities for Swedish companies.

How does it feel to be awarded the scholarship?

I feel happy and honoured to be awarded this scholarship from the Prince Bertil Foundation. It has made me even more motivated to work with international markets in general and relations between Sweden and Japan in particular.

What would you like to work with in the future?

I want to work in an international setting, in a position where I feel I can make an impact. Environmental issues are some of the world’s greatest challenges, hence, I would like to work towards sustainability for countries and companies.

What are you studying?

I'm currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Economics, majoring in

finance.

How are you planning on using your scholarship?

The funds will go towards funding the current internship I'm working at, the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce in San Francisco/Silicon Valley, at which I'm working with business development and strategy. Our main objective is to promote and develop Swedish businesses and individuals living in the Bay area.

How does it feel to be awarded the scholarship?

I am incredibly honoured to receive this scholarship and will do my best to be a good representative. The funds will be of great help on my journey here in the States.

What would you like to work with in the future?

Having worked at the Chamber of Commerce now for 3 months, I've gotten a chance to see and develop a deeper understanding of what it looks like to work within the several prominent industries that operate here. A career in sales or corporate strategy looks interesting and is something I'd like to pursue after my internship ends.

How are you planning on using your scholarship?

I'm currently interning at The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in San Francisco/Silicon Valley and at the nordic tech accelerator TINC Silicon Valley. This scholarship will be used to finance living expenses and projects during these internships. San Francisco/Silicon Valley is known for being the preeminent hub for technology, but also for its high costs of living. Hence, this scholarship enables me to finance this great opportunity.

How does it feel to be awarded the scholarship?

It's an honour to receive this scholarship and I am most grateful for the support offered by the Prins Bertil Foundation. They enable students to experience and contribute to sharing knowledge on international markets and I am thankful for the opportunity this scholarship brings. Thanks to this scholarship, I am privileged to be part of two facilitators of transatlantic trade and knowledge sharing between Sweden and California.

What would you like to work with in the future?

I have an interest in financial and international markets and the environment. This internship has brought many valuable insights into how these aspects can be combined professionally. Ideally, I see myself working with something related to impact investing and sustainable investing. Further, I hope to gain international experience within these areas for the next couple of years.
