Cloud compute solutions for new opportunities in precision medicine

Published

Within precision medicine, a huge amount of data is generated and can be of use for patients and research. Through a new collaboration between Microsoft and Genomic Medicine Sweden (GMS), new tools like cloud computing, AI and visualizations will help increase knowledge on diagnostics and treatment.

“We are excited to collaborate with a world-leading company like Microsoft to look at new computational solutions. This will allow us to look at data in new ways and thus increase knowledge about the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases,” says Per Sikora.

Per is co-head of unit at the Bioinformatics and Data Centre at Core Facilities, and co-chair of GMS Informatics.
